Toyota’s WRC team manager Jari-Matti Latvala and the map reader Janni Hussi They had to interrupt the Historic Class EM Series competition in Belgium.
Latvala and Hussi drove a convincing competition in their Toyota Celicalla and were in the lead with almost two minutes after 13.
The victory seemed certain, but the 14th special test brought the barren turn, as the duo had to interrupt due to a technical failure.
According to the organizers, there was a mechanical problem in the background.
It was the third special test of the competition. The disappointment was great as Latvala and Hussi had controlled the rally from the start.
It was already another interruption in a successive historic-em race. In the previous race in Antibes, France, the duo’s journey was interrupted by electricity.
The competition was finally driven by BMW competing on BMW PIETER-JAn Maeyaert and Yves Dewulf.
