Just a week after his end as a coach of the Belgian first division relegation, the former Liverpool football professional Dirk Kuyt found a new club.
The 44-year-old Dutch signed a one-year contract with the second division club FC Dordrecht in his home country, as the club announced.
“I saw that FC Dordrecht has developed into a stable club in recent years. A team that plays good and offensive football, but also develops a lot of young talents. I am looking forward to getting started as quickly as possible,” the 104-time Dutch international is quoted by his new club.
Last season, the nearby Rotterdam was fifth in Dorfrecht with 68 points from 38 match days fifth in the second division. For the former offensive star Kuyt, who stood in the Champions League final with Liverpool in 2007, it is the third stop as head coach after Ado Den Haag and Beer-Schot.
