Max Verstappen is known for his own head. Now the producers of a large Hollywood film apparently felt this – and the legendary leading actor.

“F1”, an action drama in the Formula 1 environment, has been running in cinemas worldwide since June 25th. The film with leading actor Brad Pitt was shot during real races of the “premier class” with replica racing cars, in supporting roles all active Formula 1 drivers and numerous team bosses can also be seen, from Lewis Hamilton and the German Nico Hülkenberg to the current world champion Max Verstoft.

But the Red Bull Pilot also lived up to its reputation: Verstappen is considered a traditionalist who is denied the ever greater show around his sport as far as possible and has no interest in glamor and glamor.

Because both the Dutch “Telegraaf” and Sport1 reported on Friday: The 27-year-old should actually turn a “night club scene” with PITT, in a specially scheduled Nachrache. But Verstappen rejected.

Likewise, the four -time world champion was not there at a screening specially organized for all drivers on the edge of the Grand Prix of Monaco at the end of May at the world premiere of the film in New York – the only one of the current pilots. Instead, Verstappen tested the Aston Martin of his own team of the GT3 series on the course in the Belgian Spa-Francorchamps.

Already in the past, Verstappen refused to the media hype of Formula 1. In 2021, he complained about over-dramatizations in the popular documentary series “Drive to Survive” at Netflix, in which numerous drivers were accompanied over the season, boycotted the fourth season, did not give any interviews again later.

And even now, the idiosyncratic Dutch once again made it clear what counts for him: the action on the track. In the current driver ranking 2025, Verstappen with 155 points is just behind the World Cup leading Oscar Piatri (198) and his McLaren teammate Lando Norris (176).
