From June 30 to July 5, 2025, the B2C Initiative Studio2Retail of the Fashion Council Germany, supported by the Senate Department for Economic Affairs, Energy and Business, offers an extensive public program for Berlin Fashion Week. The aim is to provide fashion -interested consumers: to give access to events that take place in Berlin as part of the fashion week in Berlin and are not exclusively reserved for a specialist audience.

Under the title “Unlock Berlin Fashion Week”, Studio2Retail bundles a variety of formats such as presentations, pop-ups, workshops, parties and discussions that take place during the Berlin Fashion Week. The initiative is aimed at a wide audience and thus complements the B2B events of the BFW. It focuses on Berlin as a diverse, innovative and accessible fashion location.

A central element of Studio2Retail is the concept competition, which is implemented by the Fashion Council Germany on behalf of the Senate Department for Economic Affairs, Energy and Companies. This promotes creative event ideas that make the Berlin Fashion Week tangible for the public. Five selected concepts receive prize money of 5,000 euros to implement their formats. Thanks to the renewed support of the Berlin Sparkasse, a sixth prize money that went to Selva Huygens for her convincing concept was also awarded this season. Other program items as part of Studio2Retail have been the Next gen pop-up of the record and the Ready-to-Wear debut from Human Touch-both were awarded a studio2retail winner last season.
