More than two years after Daan’s suicide from Beveren-Leie, the juvenile judge in Kortrijk has spoken about the case. A then 13-year-old girl, who had shared a nude photo of Daan, was not held responsible for his death.
According to the court, Daan’s suicide is a “particularly complex fact”. It cannot be excluded that sharing the photo played a role, but the connection cannot be determined with certainty.
