André Hazes Jr. and Roxeanne Hazes are positive about the suggestion to become a duo coach in The Voice of Holland, but is that a good idea? “I would really only go for Rox.”
It is still very likely that Suzan & Freek will drop out as a new duo coach in the Voice of Holland. Due to his diagnosis of metastatic lung cancer, it is unclear whether he can be present at all recordings and broadcasts, which is of course undesirable for all parties. It has been suggested to use André Hazes Jr. and Roxeanne Hazes.
“Without André!”
Is that a good idea? Dries Roelvink does not think so. “No,” he says undominated in Weekblad Story. “It might be nice for the viewing figures, but if I were a candidate I would rather only have Roxeanne as a coach. I love André and he on me, but I find him a little too restless.”
The folk singer continues: “Of course he has also made quite a few crazy boxing jumps in his life and that does not do his credibility as a coach. Roxeanne is the most sensible Hazes.”
Not as a duo
Singer Sjoukje Smit doesn’t think it’s a good idea either. “No. Not as a duo. I think Roxeanne should be there alone. Roxeanne is a good, serious singer and her brother is more a party artist. So I don’t know if they should sit there as a brother and sister.”
“They also have to coach and then I think you have more to Roxeanne. She is more serious and has more quality. André is great, nothing to the detriment of him. But as a coach you have to be able to see it wider.”
