The federal government is working on a “new system” for the group of job seekers whose VDAB indicates that they are unacceptable to work, in particular because they are struggling with psychological, social, or medical problems. Now, in most cases, those people receive unemployment benefits. But according to the Flemish Minister for Work Zuhal Demir, the federal government is therefore working on a “new system outside of unemployment” with federal financing. The N-VA minister answered this in the Flemish Parliament on Thursday to a question from Eva Platteau (Groen).
