For more than a quarter of a century, strong from Cologne was regularly at the World Cups in Oberhof (Thuringia), from 1993 to 2020 he hardly missed a World Cup race on site. His conspicuous outfit with numerous infidels made him a popular photo motif and unmistakable part of the backdrop.

Stark traveled ten times all stages of the World Biathlon World Cup. In recent years, his visits have become less common. Many fans reacted affected on social media. They mourned “an absolute legend” and the “most famous biathlon fan”.
