Guus Meeuwis has taken the charts in Flanders again for the first time in almost thirty years. ‘Saving for the night’, a collaboration with the Flemish singer Maksim, arrives this week in place 42 in the Ultratop 50.
Meeuwis was last in July 1996 in the Flemish charts with ‘so far away’, then together with his band Vagant. For that were also ‘it is a night … (lifelike)’ and by rail (Kedeng kedeng) hits near our southern neighbors.
Emma Heesters and Hannah Mae
For Maksim, the stage name of the 27-year-old Maksim Stojanac, it is not his first successful duet with a Dutchman. He previously scored big hits with Emma Heesters and Hannah Mae.
