A year ago, Salernitana descended to series B. On Sunday there was a walk to the third Italian league.

The second leg for the whereabouts in the second -class series B between Us Salernitana and Sampdoria Genoa was canceled after riots. At 2: 0 for the guests, the encounter was not continued a good 25 minutes before the end. Referee Daniele Doveri, an experienced referee from Serie A, decided to stop after the situation had not calmed down.

In several videos on the net you can see how angry home fans threw smoking pots and seat shells onto the field. The referee team tried to boast the game again – but the conditions did not allow a sequel.

Sampdoria had already won the first leg 2-0. Due to the identical score in the second leg, the club from Genoa was faced with safe relegation at the time of demolition. In Italy, a rating of the game in favor of Sampdorias is now expected. This would make Genoa’s descent into the third class.
