The house on the Strijperstraat in Leende, which was shot at last night, is locked for six months. Mayor Teun Heldens of the municipality of Heeze-Leende decided this on Saturday. He hopes that public order and the sense of security will be restored with his decision. “This violence must stop.”
It was already the fourth time in less than eight months that violence was used in and around the house at number 24 of the Strijperstraat. In October last year it was hit for the first time. Two months later there was an explosion twice in a short time, also at the neighbors.
Cameras just gone
After the third and final attack in December last year, Heldens decided to hang cameras. Then he already warned the residents that with a new incident he could proceed to close a home. This Saturday the mayor added the deed to the word: “This violence must stop,” he says in a video on the website of the municipality.
The camera surveillance, which started in December, came to an end six weeks ago. In his video, the mayor says nothing about that,

The house was shot at at the youngest attack. Several impacts can be seen in the shutters at the front of the house. The bullets hit the left and right next to the front door. After the shooting, a white car, possibly a delivery van, would have driven away towards Leende. Just as with the previous times, as far as is known, no one was injured.
Heldens calls on people who see something or know more about what is going on to report to the police. Earlier this Saturday the police made the same call.

The shooting left clear traces:
