Nick Woltemade really started at VfB Stuttgart in the past season and is currently also talking to the U21 national team. Numerous clubs are said to be interested in the striker. Now it has been unveiled when there should be a decision about Woltemades future.
Does Nick Woltemade still wear the VfB Stuttgart jersey in the 2025/26 season? This question will not be answered so quickly. Because as the “kicker” has experienced, the striker, which was courted by numerous clubs, does not want to decide on his future during the currently running U21 European Championship.
Rather, Woltemade will only start on vacation after the tournament and then strive for a decision. Means: For VfB fans and managers, waiting is the order of the day for the time being.
If the DFB team, which has occurred (also thanks to Woltemade), has made a furious DFB team until the final of the U21 European Championship, then Woltemades will only start after June 28th. A decision would only be expected in mid -July or later.
At the attacker, who only switched from SV Werder Bremen to VfB Stuttgart in the summer of 2024, FC Chelsea, Atlético Madrid, FC Liverpool and AS ROM are said to be interested. VfB, meanwhile, is trying to extend the contract that is currently dated by mid-2028 with the coveted 1.98-meter man in order to raise his salary and thus convince him of whereabouts.
VfB Stuttgart wants to extend with Woltemade
According to “kicker”, the exchange has already started, but here too there is a break due to the U21 European Championship.
At VfB, Woltemade has 17 goals and ten templates in 33 missions. With the Stuttgart, he recently became the DFB Cup winner, met in the cup in every round (except in the quarter-finals, where he was missing) and thus also in the final.
VfB legend Hansi Müller recently said at “Bild” about the rumors about a wave of emigration at his heart’s club: “Clubs come with offers that turn your head. Does that also apply to Woltemade? Time will show it.
