The Hungarian police announced on Thursday that the Pride procession of 28 June in Budapest will be banned on the basis of a recent anti-LGBTQ+law that was adopted by the nationalist government of Viktor Orban. The mayor of the capital, Gergely Karacsony, member of the green-progressive party dialogue for Hungary, allows the parade.
