Communication from the king’s cabinet:
King Willem-Alexander today, June 19, 2025, appointed on the recommendation of the Prime Minister, from the date of their sworn on 19 June 2025:
- R. Tieman as Minister of Infrastructure and Water Management;
- VPG Karremans as Minister of Economic Affairs;
- DEMC Jansen as Minister of Health Welfare and Sport;
As well as:
- H. Boerma as State Secretary for Foreign Affairs;
- Aa Aartsen as State Secretary for Infrastructure and Water Management;
- JZCM Tielen as State Secretary for Health, Welfare and Sport;
- NJF Pouw-Verweij as State Secretary for Health, Welfare and Sport.
With effect from the same date, June 19, VPG Karremans has been honorably dismissed as State Secretary for Health, Welfare and Sport.
The matters concerning the portfolio of the former Minister of Asylum and Migration, MHM Faber-van de Klashorst, will be represented by the Minister of Justice and Security from 19 June, DM van Weel, the Minister of Social Affairs and Employment, YJ van Hijum and the Minister of Housing and Spatial Organization, MCG.
The reason for the new appointments is the dismissal on 3 June 2025 of the ministers and state secretaries who were nominated by the chairman of the PVV group in the Lower House for appointment in the cabinet.
The ministers and state secretaries were sworn in this afternoon in front of the king at the Huis ten Bosch Palace.
