FC Schalke 04 presented its second newcomer. From Alemannia Aachen, Soufiane El-Faouzi joins the royal blue, who signed a contract until 2029. The Gelsenkirchener prevailed against Hannover 96, 1st FC Magdeburg and the Karlsruher SC.
Since EL-Faouzi still had a contract with the third division team until 2026, a transfer is due for the 22-year-old offensive midfielder. According to reports from the “Aachener Zeitung”, this should move in the low six -figure range. “Sky” reported 400,000 euros in market value that “WAZ” wrote of a base release of 200,000 euros plus possible bonuses. So far, Schalke had only introduced Timo Becker as a new addition to 2025/26, which comes free of charge from Holstein Kiel.
“In the past season, Soufiane El-Faouzi drew attention to itself with top values in the athletics and gave the Aachen offensive game many impulses with his individuality. We see a lot of developmental potential that we want to develop together. When the opportunity arose to commit Soufiane for Schalke 04, we quickly convinced him of our project with the new coaching team,” said Director Professball Youri Mulder.

EL-Faouzi, who will now appear for the first time in the 2nd Bundesliga, said: “It was easy for me to choose me now for Schalke 04. We have had very good conversations in which those responsible showed me my perspective. For me, it is great that I can get started directly at the start of the preparation and that I can get to know everything at Schalke.”
