The Sao Paulo, in crisis of results in the Brazilian championship, has made official Hernan Crespo as a new coach until December 2026: the Argentine, for many years in Serie A with Parma, Lazio, Milan, Inter and Genoa, takes the place of his compatriot Luis Zubeldia. Crespo, 49, had already trained San Paolo between February and October 2021, when he had brought the Paulist club to victory in the state championship.

At the moment the San Paolo, who won only one of his last seven races in the championship, is fourteenth in the standings with 12 points, at -12 from Flamengo first in the standings: the club has not won the national championship since 2008.
