After three years in Poland near Miedz Legnica, Michael Kostka (21) returns to Germany. The right-back joins the red-white food free of charge. At the third division club, Kostka, who completed 31 games (two goals) in the past season, was the fourth newcomer. Director Professional football Marcus Steegmann trusts the ex-DFB junior “that he closes our current vacancy in the right-back position and will prove himself in the 3rd division”.
Kostka, who was trained at RB Leipzig and recently narrowly missed the return to the EkstraKlasa with Legnica: “I am very happy to be in Essen. I wanted to go back to German football and RWE is a big traditional club with many fans. I was very happy, I heard a lot. Everything to do to meet the goals of the association. “
