S04 contract ends

After relegation from Ligue 1, Cup finalist Stade Reims presented a new trainer. Ex-Schalke coach Karel Geraerts succeeds Samba Diawara, who returns to the post as an assistant. The 43 -year -old Belgian signed a contract by June 30, 2027 with the option for another year.
Geraerts stood on the sidelines from October 2023 to September 2024, in 33 games the miners got an average of 1.3 points. After just one win from the first six season games in the 2nd Bundesliga, he had had to take his hat together with sports director Marc Wilmots. He found his release as “unjustified”. Since his contract with the royal blue expires on June 30th, no agreement was made.
