In Oudenburg, Romina Vanhooren (Open VLD) took the oath again as mayor. That happened before, on November 9, 2022, when she temporarily took over the helm from party colleague Antony Dumarey. Today her appointment is final, and that feels different, she says.
“It is a great honor to take the oath for the second time, as mayor of Oudenburg,” says Vanhooren. “It is now an absolute certainty that I can continue this legislature as mayor.”
