The two peddlers participated in the Loire 725, a very heavy competition over 725 kilometers on the French river De Loire. The race is considered the longest paddling tour in Europe and lasts seven days.
“We have prepared this for months,” says Francis Soenen. “I drove to Germany a week before the competition to adjust our canoe to our needs. The seats, the adjustment, everything had to be perfect.”
