Now it is official: Christian Titz takes over the Hannover 96 team. Which playing style distinguishes him.
“He brings a very clear philosophy and stands for a football that we want to see at Hannover 96: courageous, intensive and forward,” said Hanover’s managing director Marcus Mann over the 54-year-old.
In addition to Titz, assistant coach André Kilian also joins the team in Hanover, while Lars Barlemann remains part of the coaching staff. In Magdeburg, Titz worked for four and a half years and led the club from the relegation battle of the 3rd division into the top group of the 2nd Bundesliga. He should now also bring this continuity and his offensive style of play in Hanover. Before his time in Magdeburg, Titz looked after Hamburger SV, among others.
The past few years were shaped by frequent coaching changes for Hannover 96, most recently the club missed the promotion to the Bundesliga six times in a row. The club recently employed Stefen Leitl, André Breitenreiter and Lars Barlemann as a coach.
