Mohombin’s Mönkön gig was replaced by the new ice rink Blackbox.
Mohombi performed for the second time at the Helsinki City Festival on Saturday night. Earlier at noon, the gig was 14 minutes due to technical problems.
The second gig started on time at 11:30 pm inside the Helsinki Ice Hall in Blackbox. The queue was avoided and people got in time before the gig started. The concert hall was not nearly full.
After the first song, a 38-year-old artist hinted at the audience for his previous gig.
– Did you think you could get rid of me easily? Mohombi asked and made the audience mumble.
– The funniest thing was that when I stepped on stage earlier today, I talked about the two most important things at the party: the first and last type on the dance floor.
– Coincidentally, I usually at the parties I go to, it always happens to be the same person, he adds and shows himself.
Mohombi was the first performer on Saturday. The previous gig was delayed due to technical problems and due to the festival schedule it could not be extended.

Technical problems were also seen on Saturday night at the Akon gig. Iltalehti reported that Akon was about to start a gig at around 9:45 pm until the audio was deceived at the beginning of the first song. The artist got back on the stage about 20 minutes later.
Helsinki City Festival producer Vilho Riihimäki told Iltalehti that Akon’s gig was interrupted by a technical disorder.
– The fault was an instantaneous electrical failure that was quickly repaired, Riihimäki comments.
