Para triathlete Martin Schulz has again won the European Championship title.
The 35-year-old won in Besançon in France over the Paralympic distance 750 meters swimming, 20 kilometers cycling and running for 5 kilometers. For Schulz it was already the twelfth EM triumph as a whole – despite the calf problems in the past few weeks.
“I’m super happy and enjoy it,” said Schulz after his victory and was happy that he was able to play out his experience.
The two-time Paralympics winner from Leipzig needed 1:02:52 hours and was almost a minute faster than Filipe Marques (1:03:43) from Portugal. Third, Irish Tom Williamson (1:05:31).
In another start class, Max gelhair won silver as in the past year. Neele Ludwig was also second in her start class.
