Telstar officially started yesterday with the start of the work to convert the field from artificial grass to natural grass. “A new chapter,” the club describes it itself. The first steps towards the new field are already clearly visible on this Friday. The upper artificial grass layer has disappeared and the bottom layer has already been removed.
An ESPN employee is already busy with the inventory. According to him, a lot has to be tackled in the Telstar stadium. For example, the dug-outs would be too small, a new camera platform must be built and the branch is not yet ready. “Then I haven’t even talked about the North stand,” he laughs.
