Hundreds of season tickets go back on sale: Werder Bremen consistently enforces his new season ticket regulation for the first time-and many fans could benefit now.

Werder Bremen is serious: Because several season ticket holders were too rarely in the Weser Stadium last season, hundreds of places are now becoming free. Already at the upcoming sales season, these cards are raffled under waiting fans – a direct episode of the minimum use rate introduced in 2023.

For the 2024/25 season, the association checked whether the owners of season tickets were actually regularly in the stadium. Anyone who did not use their card for at least 14 of the 17 Bundesliga home games will lose their right of first refusal. Not only does the personal visit to the stadium count: a transfer in the circle of friends or the sale via the official ticket exchange were also recognized.

According to the “DeichStube” fan dies, around 500 season ticket owners are affected. In the middle of the week, those affected would have received an email from the association in which they were informed that they no longer have any right of first refusal for their card, that is, that they lose their card.

“The demand for season tickets has been extremely large for years. Many fans are longing for the opportunity to come to the Weser Stadium regularly to support our team,” Klaus Filbry, Chairman of the Werder Management Board, is quoted at the club website.

The association showed goodwill. Fans who have only visited twelve or 13 games can also extend their season ticket. At the same time, it was checked whether there were good reasons for non-use-such as an unsuccessful resale on the stock exchange or reported obstacle. Recycling and accompanying persons were excluded from the process from the start.

The club had already announced another change at the end of May: only one season ticket may be held per person in the future-a step against black market models. To convey the fans “that some people keep several season tickets and then only visit a few games,” explains Filbry. Owners of several cards were able to tell who will take over one of the cards in the future. This also made an additional contingent free.

As “Deichstube” reports, up to 800 cards could be available. As usual, you will be raffled off among all the list of prospect. From the last week of June we activated the list and fans can apply. The demand is great: Werder again expects up to 15,000 applicants.
