Often the first three common cards give us an important key on the strategy to be adopted in the post flop and especially in the rest of the hand. Strong hands can be weakened, on the contrary, speculative star hands can find strength. You cannot have a single plan since there are several board
The strength of one hand is always relative. If our pair of axes finds a favorable flop we can think of pushing. But what is meant by “favorable”. The combinations of the first three community cards are many. A first difference can be the Flop Drawy, Monoton and Dry
Reading the flop is the first step

How many times have you found yourself having a strong or very strong hand? The basic idea is almost always the same: relaunching in the preflop, and shooting two or three shots on the different roads that will lead to the showdown. So far everything is simple but we know well that it is not all Easy in the way of Texas Holdem. Knowing how to read a flop is a fundamental step to be able to maximize winnings and, above all, minimize losses. For example, in an EPT there was a player who passed a couple of kings serenely and quickly. Knowing how to recognize the various types related to the top three common cards is crucial. Often you are wrong: we aim when we should check, we call call when we should fold. The combinations of errors related to so -called “texture” of the flop There are many and we do not always make the best decision. Let’s take three macro sets and let’s do a first, quick, introduction
Flop drawy, monoton and dry. How are they?
–
Let’s imagine we have two axes; We relaunch from Cutoff and call us the great darkness. Excluding the set, in which kind of flops hoped to continue with an episode that will perhaps become two or three between Turn and River? The ideal would be something like K♥ 7♠ 2♣ who could give top pair to our opponent by letting us stay forward. Here is what is defined Flop Dry (dry) or a situation without too many “problems”: a figure, two “useless” cards without any type of project. Instead, it would be a hand in which we have K♠ K♣ And we have to face a flop with q♥ 8♥ 2♥ or a monoton flop. Three cards, even passed off, all of the same seed that we do not have in hand. It could, mandatory conditional, weaken the real strength of our hand. Finally we have situations with projects: t♣ 9♥ 8♦ that are called Drawy (from “draw, project). We are not only talking about stairs but also of color draws. Then there are extreme situations such as a super-drawy combination as 7♥ 8♣ 9♥ Which would remain equally problematic if the three scale cards were also all of the same seed. Translating into Italian we have connected and/or coordinated flops that do not change the substance, only terminology
