VfL Bochum has committed a new center forward. Mathis Clairicia changes from the French 3rd league from LB Châteauroux to the relegation relegation free of charge. The 22-year-old signed a contract until 2028 and with the recommendation of ten goals and four assists in the past season in the Championnat National to the Ruhrpott Club.

“Physise, pace, goal instinct: Mathis Clairicia is an offensive player with a promising perspective. He has already taken great progress in his development last season and showed qualities that make him very interesting for us. We are confident that Mathis will quickly adapt to the requirements of the 2nd Bundesliga and thus be a valuable and important element of the new squad,” said, “said Sports Managing Director Dirk Dufner.

Clairicia, who is now leaving his home country for the first time, explained: “I look forward to being able to play for VfL Bochum soon and I’m looking forward to my new team, the fans, the city and the stadium. The 2nd Bundesliga will be a real challenge that I also look forward to.” Stand now Clairicia is the number four in the VfL squad.
