Chanel has appointed Krzysztof Lukasik to the new design Director for Small Leather Goods, Objects and Eyewear.

Matthieu Blazy has been at the creative tip of the French fashion house for almost half a year. He shows his first collection-in the form of ready-to-wear for women-only in early October, but at least there are slowly initial insights into his team. With Lukasik Blazy fetches an old acquaintance from his previous employer Bottega Veneta.

Lukasik announced his new role at the beginning of the month at the LinkedIn career network, which he claims to have been holding since May. As a design director, it will be responsible for small bags and leather accessories as well as for glasses, special projects and gifts.

Previously, he was active for the French luxury goods group Kering Bottega Veneta for almost five years, most recently in the position, which he now also takes over for Chanel. Before that, he gained experience with fashion houses such as Hermès, Loewe, Lanvin and Victoria Beckham in various tasks.

Lukasik has also been a creative consultant in the area of ​​the field for almost five years and works with brands such as Wales Bonner, Moschino and Trussardi. There is also an activity as a “Visiting Teacher” in fashion and accessories department of the Swiss Art University Head Genève.
