That agrees: “With us it is mainly the clothing that is doing well. Price plays an important role in this. Solid things at a low price are in demand – especially now that the lifespan is rising.”
There is also something to be picked up for collectors. A visitor notes that some documents – such as Biscuit – have become considerably cheaper than decades ago. “Sometimes you really do a business here.”
The Sinksen-Rommelmarkt shows that second-hand item no longer has a dusty image, but has become an attractive, sustainable and affordable option for many.
