Rock am Ring started on Friday with numerous highlights on the festival weekend. At the beginning of the week, the weather forecast still feared the worst – in fact, however, it remained largely dry on the first day of the festival. The best conditions for celebrating and the around 90,000 visitors of the sold -out Rock am Ring also did extensively.
Rock am Ring: Photos show the most beautiful festival moments
The “very special guest”, which was kept secret until the end, provided special moments of surprise: Electric Callboy and Roy Bianco & Die Abbrunzati Boys were enthusiastically received by the audience. Headliner Bring Me The Horizon delivered an energetic show on the Utopia Stage, but the Mandora Stage and the smaller orbit stage also offered impressive appearances. These included the shows of Soft Play, Destroy Boys, The Prodigy and late night also KIZ
On the occasion of the anniversary, Rock am Ring took a fourth stage this year – the Atmos Stage. This was somewhat offside, which was reflected in somewhat lower number of visitors, but did not do justice to the artists performing there such as Creeper and Nasty.
A total of 100 bands will appear over the weekend. The weather situation has also improved for Saturday, so that the festival can mostly continue to continue in the dry.
