The Huis van de Bruggeling, the administrative center of the city of Bruges, was temporarily closed on Wednesday 28 May after a fire in the men’s room on the ground floor. The cause was harm: someone set fire to the dispenser for paper towels, after which a garbage can also caught fire. The damage was limited to the toilet, but due to the smoke development it was decided to keep the building closed all day.
It was already the third arson in the same place in a few weeks.
