The abuse took place from June 2023 to October of 2024. Exactly in the period that it was treated for the same urge to abuse animals.
A large, black hole
The woman admits in court on Friday morning that she indeed mistreated and killed these animals, and had a forbidden weapon in her possession. The gas pistol used them to kill the animals. She has a soft voice and speaks very polite. While answering, she drops long silences and sometimes has to fight against the tears.
She did this to “fill a void,” she says. She was left with ‘a positive feeling’. Yet she also says she regrets what she did. “This has never been allowed to happen. I just ashamed of it,” she looks back on it.
Yet the judge doubts her statements in the courtroom. That is how the suspect calls himself an animal lover and says he really wants to know what is behind her actions. “How should I rhyme with each other?” The judge asks. Again it is quiet in the room for a long time. “Because I … wanted to get a positive feeling out of it. But rationally I knew that this was not possible.” “Yet you also worked very rationally.”
The probation service, psychiatrist and psychologist indicate that they can hardly get the height of the young woman. The conversations with the suspect are described as ‘pleasant’ and ‘socially desirable’, but they also come to the conclusion that there is little repentance. For example, it is suspected that she would be very disappointed that she has now come into contact with the judiciary and is in court.
“That what she says, does she mean that?” Seems the most important question. “We are all staring into a large, black hole,” says a probation employee. The Hilversumse says not to recognize itself in this image.
Is not back the prison, but TBS
The Public Prosecution Service demands an unconditional prison sentence that is as long as the custody. That is why she does not have to go back into the cell with this possibly conviction. The OM also demands TBS with several conditions that she must adhere to. Including a ban on keeping pets.
“I sincerely regret what I have done to the animals. I also want to apologize to the former owners of the animals,” says De Hilversumse. “I don’t expect you to blindly rely on my words, but also hope you look at my behavior. I work hard to get my life back on track.”
The judge will rule in the case in two weeks.
