Uzbekistan has qualified for a World Cup for the first time. In the Asian qualification group A, the Uzbeken was enough for the United Arab Emirates to solve the ticket for the 2026 final round in the USA, Canada and Mexico.
Uzbekistan is the fifth nation, which secured participation in the tournament through the sporting path. Previously, defending champion Argentina, Japan, New Zealand and Iran had already qualified for the World Cup (June 11th to July 19, 2026). The three hosts are automatically qualified, for the first time 48 teams take part in the World Cup.
