He came to Berlin with great expectations, but a year later Bradley Ibrahim (20) Hertha BSC is leaving – largely unable to do. Instead of a future in the professional squad of the old lady, the Londoner sees his foreseeable future in the English third division. After a loan to Crawley Town, the defensive midfielder changes to second division relegated Plymouth Argyle. There he could meet one of his ex-coaches.
“Bradley recently performed well in England and collected a lot of playing time,” Hertha’s sports director Benjamin Weber said loan in League One, where the former U18 international was used 33 times. “This is also why the desire and the opportunity to return to his homeland permanently came up.” For Hertha, Ibrahim had only collected minutes after moving from the Arsenal offspring in the second team. Ibrahim was used 12 times in the Regionalliga Nordost and was only there once in the second division squad in the second half of the season against HSV.
The Berliners had not transferred a transfer to London, instead a bonus and resale model was said to have been agreed last year. The amount of the transfer, which Hertha now receives from Plymouth, is not known. Ibrahim’s market value is 400,000 euros.
Ibrahim to the ex-coach? Wilshere candidate on Muslic successor to Argyle
It is currently not yet clear who the coach Ibrahim will be from the club from the English southwest. But it could be an old acquaintance of the player. Argyle recently had to let his trainer Miron Muslic go to FC Schalke 04, which is why Plymouth’s significant discounts were heard in the direction of the Austrian coach about “the way of his departure”. Ex-professional Jack Wilshere is considered a candidate for the successor, for whom it would be the first chief post in the professional sector after a short assistant job at Norwich City. The main responsibility was Wilshere in Arsenals U18, where he returned to Ibrahim in 17 games.
