The criminal case for the Rovaniemi Palloseura has been prosecuted by the Lapland District Court.
A summons submitted on Wednesday will be suspected of aggravated embezzlement and payment fraud.
The accused person is Risto Nivawho worked as chairman of RoPS for 17 years. RoPS made a request for an investigation more than two years ago.
In June 2023, the pre -trial investigation was transferred to prosecution. After almost two years of waiting, the matter was transferred to the District Court.
The matter is related to the use of the funds of Rovaniemi Palloseura ry and its marketing company Blue Ide Oy from December 2019 to late 2022.
Niva has denied having committed a crime.
Regional prosecutor Jane Isakakka Couldn’t comment on how big the amount of dumb and payment fraud are about.
According to Iisaka, the completion of the prosecution proceeded within normal schedule. However, the matter was not exceptionally laborious in relation to the description of the act.
