An industrial giant, planted with the blessing of the Council of State and the municipality of Houten. No support, no respect. Only a decision imposed from above.

In the newspaper there was an article about that windmills can still be built close to houses (tel. 2/6). Due to a stalemate, strict rural distance standards for wind turbines are further away than ever. Unfortunately my family and I have experience with this.

What does it say about a government that dares to put citizens so close to a rotating wall of sound and drop shadow? About a city council that confuses sustainability with pushing through? About a Council of State that apparently sees no problem sacrificing living quality?

This is not an energy transition. This is power of power. A signal that the voice of residents does not matter. That health, peace and quality of life are subordinate to abstract goals and political ambitions. 283 meters. That is not a distance. That is deliberately harming a family.
