Recommendations of the editorial team

Pop star Jade Thirlwall, known with the Girlgroup Little Mix, encouraged thousands of fans to go to a speech choir against the author JK Rowling last weekend during her appearance at a festival in London. The singer, who has appeared under the name Jade since the beginning of her solo career, played on the Main Stage of the inclusive LGBTQ+Festival Mighty Hoopla and was once again strong for the rights of the queer community.

Singing against attitude of the “Harry Potter” author

As part of the song “Fufn (Fuck you for now)”, the singer began changing singing with the festival visitors: inside, which ended with an explicit message to the author JK Rowling. “Homophobes? Fuck you! Transphobes? Fuck you! JK Rowling? Fuck you!” it sounded in front of the entire Main Stage, while thousands of middle fingers towered up at the same time.

There is a recording from the event and the moment against trans hostility:

To understand: JK Rowling has repeatedly been discredited over the past few years due to her controversial statements about trans*people. The “Harry Potter” author recently founded a new organization for “gender-based rights” called “JK Rowlings Women’s Fund”.

Support for the LGBTQ+community

Jade, on the other hand, has been fighting for the rights of the queer community for many years and has become known for their constant support over the years. Among other things, she was nominated for the “Celebrity Ally” Award of the LGBT Awards, which distinguishes celebrities for its commitment in the scene. With her appearance on the Mighty Hoopla, she once again proves her solidarity and attitude towards trans*people and the LGBTQ+community. The pop star is celebrated for the campaign on platform X.
