Good news for the Zoetermeerders who like to shop: Gerry Weber reopens the store in Zoetermeer. This case went bankrupt in April, but now makes a restart.

According to retailtrends.nl Reopen in the first instance eight stores of the fashion chain. These are the branches in Eindhoven, Nijmegen, Dordrecht, Nieuwegein, Venray, Middelburg, Veenendaal and Zoetermeer. The store in our city will open the doors ‘in the foreseeable future’.

In Spanish hands

The women’s fashion chain has been taken over by the Spanish Victrix Group. In addition to the trademark rights, the new owner has taken over a number of designers from Gerry Weber. The spring and summer collection will also soon be available again in the eight stores mentioned.

Curator Marc van Zanten is positive about the partial continuation. “In the period after the bankruptcy, it turned out how popular this women’s fashion brand is still in the Netherlands. The turnover achieved record highs, while the organization was bankrupt,” he says.

Address still unknown

Gerry Weber’s building in the Stadshart is closed. The owner of the shopping center has had the well -known paneling for vacant buildings placed against it. Whether the reopening of Gerry Weber will happen in the same building on the west, or at another address is not yet known. Indebuurt will keep you informed.

In April this year, the women’s fashion chain went bankrupt. The Dutch branch of the German company then applied for a deferment of payment due to financial problems at the parent company. Gerry Weber had a total of 38 stores in our country, including a branch in Zoetermeer. So here you will be able to shop again soon.
