ZZ top have announced that Frank Beard After his Time -out Due to the “health problems” that have not yet been described at the time, return to the band and continue the summer tour with them.
Summer tour 2025 starts with a full line -up
Beard had missed the ZZ-TOP concerts for the last two months after having problems with the foot and ankle, which have now been remedied, as the band announced on Thursday. The band’s long -term drum technician, John Douglas, jumped in for Beard, who will sit behind the drums again on June 1st in Victoria, British Columbia when ZZ continues her elevation tour.

The elevation tour of ZZ Top is fully booked into the summer and extends into October, with stations at the Sturgis Motorcycle Rally on August 1st and Sea.hear.Now Festival in Asbury Park, New Jersey, on September 13th.
Return of a ZZ-Top veteran with symbolic meaning
Although he is not the founding member of the band – this title is desired by Dan Mitchell, who played in Gibbons’ previous band Moving Sidewalks and played the first single “Salt Lick” drums on ZZ Top’s first single – Beard has been a drummer from ZZ Top for over 55 years ZZ Top’s first album in 1971 up to La Futura from 2012, and wrote hits like “Legs”, “Sharp Dressed Man”, “Gimme All Your Lovin ‘” and “Tush”.
