The official reaches 12.55: between Palladino and Fiorentina is divorce after just a year. The press release reads: “ACF Fiorentina announces that, today, the contract that linked the club to the technician Raffaele Palladino and his staff was subsequently resolved”. Very stringed, essential, but still consensual and without any legal aftermath. The resignation had been announced by the technician last Wednesday by phone and only the formal act that is now there and officially decreed the end of a relationship never really took off, despite the public declarations, the points in the standings and the record of eight consecutive victories was missing. Something did not work, inside and outside the club, and it’s up to direct protagonists to understand their motivations. Instead, it is difficult for official explanations outside, especially if a confidentiality clause was signed, as happened with Gattuso in 2021.

Meanwhile, the whole story of the farewell had been dyeing, above all the timing so sensational as to grasp the whole environment by surprise. In fact, it was the day after the programmatic conference of the managers in which the lines of the next season were announced and in which President Rocco Commisso indicated Palladino as a “son”.
