After four years at 1st FC Magdeburg, Jason Ceka (25) moves further to SV Elversberg within the 2nd league. The offensive player signed a contract by June 30, 2028 for the Saarlanders, who narrowly missed the Bundesliga promotion in the relegation.
Ceka was an important cornerstone of the Magdeburgers, with whom he rose to the lower house in 2022, and directly participated in 44 goals in 97 games – until coach Christian Titz sorted him out in the past season. There is no concrete incident for this, Ceka is only a victim of the competition, said Titz. In the second half of the season, Ceka only ran for the FCM reserve in the Oberliga and showed with ten goals and four templates in eleven games that he was appointed higher.
“Jason will revitalize our offensive game with his technically experienced, agile manner. He is a hungry player who can always create good offensive campaigns with his determination. We are happy to be able to welcome him to Elversberg soon,” said sports director Nils-Ole Book.
Ceka, the second newcomer, added: “I am very excited about the new chapter in Elversberg. With its offensive, creative playing style, I am very excited. I look forward to contributing to my part in the future that we will continue to inspire people and show successful, beautiful football.”
