In a house on the second floor of an apartment complex on the Boutslaan in Eindhoven, a short fire raged just before half past eight. A lot of smoke was released during the fire. As a precaution, several houses were evacuated.
There were no victims in the fire in the apartment. The resident of the house was not at home when the fire broke out. Residents of the surrounding apartments were evacuated to be sure.
The fire was under control around a quarter to nine. The apartment is ventilated and controlled by the fire brigade as a precaution. The Salvage Foundation, which provides help after a fire, comes to the house for further processing of the damage.
An eyewitness saw large clouds of smoke and many firefighters and police officers. The fire brigade arrived with two extinguishing vehicles and a platform. The police were present at the fire with four cars.
