Rio Ferdinand shaped the English national team for a long time, then the TV reporting in his home country. Now the Briton goes other ways.
Rio Ferdinand for BT Sport and TNT Sports analyzed top European football for ten years. Now the former English international ends his work as a TV expert-after the Champions League final.
Ferdinand described the step as a “difficult decision”, but added in his contribution on platform X: “Since my career end, it has been a privilege to talk about the game that I love.” He wanted to thank the team behind the scenes, “whose hard work often remains unseen, but was crucial for our success”.
With a view to the upcoming final, Ferdinand spoke of a special end of the season. “From now on I fully focus on a game that could be one of the greatest European finals into history,” he said. On Saturday evening, Paris Saint-Germain and Inter Milan meet in Munich (from 9 p.m. in the T-Online live ticker).
In the future, Ferdinand announced that it would spend more time with the family and concentrate on his projects such as “Rio Ferdinand Presents”. He promised his fans to remain present in the future.
