Serious riots before the Conference League final

In the evening, Chelsea and Betis Seville duel around the Conference League. Before the game there were serious riots of the fans.
Shortly before the final of the Conference League, the Polish city of Wroclaw had violent clashes between fans of Chelsea and Betis Sevilla. As the AFP news agency reports, the police had to intervene with a large contingent – even a water cannon was used. “So far, 28 foreign hooligans have been arrested on the Breslauer Marktplatz,” wrote Poland Interior Minister Tomasz Siemoniak at X.
Parts of the city center were sealed off to control the situation. According to the Breslau police spokesman Wojciech Jablonski, four Spaniards were arrested. Overall, “several hundred” emergency services were in use to restore public order. There were numerous Chelsea fans within the short-term barriers.
The final of the Conference League will kick off in the Miejski stadium in the evening at 9 p.m. and can be seen live at Nitro.
The Polish Prime Minister Donald Tusk commented on the incidents on platform X in the afternoon. He praised the “determined procedure” of the police against hooligans in fan jerseys from both clubs. At the same time, he announced that there would be “zero tolerance for violence on our streets”. “We warn: If necessary, the police will take over even harder today,” said Tusk.
