GErri
Type: police with a touch of melodrama
Director: Giuseppe Bonito. With Giulio Beranek, Valentina Romani, Fabrizio Ferracane, Roberta Caronia, Irene Ferri, Tony Laudadio, Carlotta Natoli and Massimo Wirmüller. On Rai1 e Raiplay
In a beautiful Trani with noir tones, the events of Gerri develop, the new series of Rai 1 produced by Cattleya.
It is a detective that, in traveling the most classic roads of the genre in its public service version, introduces a non -obvious identity element: The protagonist Gerri (Giulio Beranek) is, in fact, a police inspector of Roma origin, restless and rebelliousconstantly struggling both with the news cases that upset the Apulian city and with their tormented and mysterious past.
Giulio Beranek and Valentina Romani in “Gerri”, from the novels of Giorgia Lepore (and/or).
The figure of Gerri fits into the wake of the many detectives maudit who have taken hold in the police productions of recent years: His unnatodox methods are invited to superiors, its charm hides a basic fragilityhis intuitiveness makes it an envied and appreciated policeman at the same time by colleagues.
At his side, vice -inspector Lea Coen (Valentina Romani) recently moved from Rome, the only woman who seems to resist the charm of the protagonist.
The encounter-clash between two worlds and ways of understanding the work, however, becomes a pretext for a sentimental line: every Italian detective leads to the melodrama.
For lovers of the noir and detective genre and characters with complex profiles.
