The finalists of the 2025 Tango Market were settled on Saturday in the semifinals in Hyvinkää.
The July finals took Hanna Hirvonen, Sussu hook, Jonna Pirttijoki, Tytti Pihlajamäki, Kyösti Lindeman, Antti Railio, Markku Uhlbäck and Veeti Tikkanen.
Iltalehti asked its readers what they thought about this year’s tangoupists. In particular, one name is strongly sharing viewers’ opinions: Antti Railio.

Antti Railio is already familiar to many. He rose to the general public after winning The Voice of Finland In 2013.
– I would like to win Antti Railio for men. His voice is really good and he fits into the Tango interpreter, Iltalehti’s survey writes.
– My favorite went on, Railio is good.
Others think Railio is not the right person for a tango competition.
– I went wrong, Antti Railio has no sound needed for the tango.
– What did the judges bother? The sound of Railio is not a tango sound. Away a man from the whole race.

Wrong
The favorites of some viewers did not reach the finals at all.
– There would have been much better singers for the competition than those selected. It is not possible to understand the basis on which those judges chose the winners. Last year the same thing. No need to look at Seinäjoki competition.
– I think definitely Eeli Hallikainen It would have been the final race, a wonderfully soft sound.
– The jury consisted of people who do not have a dance music ear. The opera singer and the rock journalist cannot distinguish the correct grip on interpreting the tango. The women’s series was not selected for the best.

The Tango Market will be held from Wednesday to Sunday 9-13. July in Seinäjoki. The final of the song competition will be held on Saturday, July 12th. The competition is televised by Yle.
