The organization was afraid that the pouring rain would not show up a dog, but nothing could be further from the truth. More than 250 owners started their four -legged friend on a trip of 5 or 10 kilometers.
One of the participants was Claudia Henrix, who participated in her wheelchair. Claudia knows better than anyone how an assistance dog can change your life.
Enormous freedom
“My dog Katja helps me with daily things, such as getting up or dressing myself,” she says prior to the trip. “Because she helps me with all kinds of things, I am no longer so dependent on home care and I can, for example, decide when I go to bed and get up. That is enormous freedom.”
