After the crash of their Lamborghini Huracan, Russell Racing decided to work with Art Racing from now on. Moreover, the car was also replaced: the familiar Lamborghini makes way for a Porsche 992. That not only means another driving style, but also a new technical approach.
The competition in Zolder was a first test moment for the renewed team. A top five was just not in it, but Russell Racing remained constantly close. The battle for the victory went between three other Porsche 992s, with Glenn in Paris and Robin Knutsson from NGT as the fastest combination.
For Russell Racing, this sixth place feels like a successful baptism of fire. The Porsche 992 immediately proved its potential in the Belgian stamemy championship.
The second race is already on the program next weekend, with the Spa Euro Race in Francorchamps. However, the big goal of the season remains the 24 hours of Zolder later this year.
