To Russia points
Lassi Kuisma, Stockholm
As the IIHF men’s ranking of the International Ice Hockey Association is updated after the ongoing World Cup, it can become a very rushed sight again.
Since closing the World Championships, Russia has received as much rankings every year as third in the race, as Russia has previously been third in the rankings.
Now that Canada collapsed in the quarterfinals of the World Cup and fifth in the race, it is falling behind Russia in the rankings. Finland had been behind Russia before, and now the difference is just growing. Finland’s final disposal at this year’s race was seventh.
After last year’s race, Russia rose to second in the rankings, so it is also possible that Russia will receive the same number of points this year as it would get in silver.
Of Russia’s closest threats, Switzerland, USA and Sweden still have the opportunity to fully score this year.

The Danish Ice Hockey Association will pay its players nice bonuses for the World Cup.
CEO Peter Frould He says that the “big percentage” of the prize money awarded by the International Ice Hockey Federation goes directly into the players’ pocket.

Denmark advanced to the semi-finals of the World Cup on Thursday evening as it surprised Canada with a 2-1. By far the biggest name in Denmark is the NHL club Winnipeg Jets top striker Nikolaj Ehlers.
Ehlers joined the Danish team after the Jets dropped from the NHL playoffs. At this point, Denmark had one start -up match, and there was no guarantee that there would be more matches. This if what shows passion represents its country in the value tournament.
Denmark won Germany in the last match of the opening series and advanced to the quarterfinals, where it faced Canada, and the result of that match has certainly not been unclear from anyone who is a bit hockey.
From the point of view, the situation is rare that Ehlers will not even have an agreement in the NHL next season. Usually NHL stars avoid coming to the World Cup if next season’s playground is still open. This did not care about this.
Ehlers’ desire to represent their national team could be modeled on many Finnish NHL players.
All you have to do is bring your hat to Ehlers and the entire Danish hockey team at this stage. You can see if Denmark, who has suffered a 2-5 loss to Switzerland in the opening series, reaches the advantage of another match with Ehlers.
