The skating track in Beilen is being tackled at the current location. The municipality of Midden-Drenthe prefers that option Buiten Bouwen at a different location.
Alternative places for the skating track have been investigated recently. According to the municipality, it turned out not to be possible to build elsewhere in the short term.
The skating track in Beilen is due for replacement. The city council has therefore previously cleared a budget. In January the municipality organized a walk -in evening where young people could pass on their ideas for the skating track. A great wish turned out to be an integrated concrete job.
Reusable concrete elements will be used at the current location. These elements can later go to a possible new location. There will be a new asphalt layer and there are two designs for the interior. Young people will soon be allowed to decide on the final design.
